Lens Shift EP is MerlinBerlin’s first solo project on the Black Techno Matters music label. This haunting and trippy 5-track collection sees her drawing from the uncertainty of space. Leaning on syncopated rhythms and her signature swirling sonic textures, MerlinBerlin merges both light and dark energy to create a hypnotic balance of robotic noises, cavernous chords, and classic techno sounds such as in the eerie-but-seductive electro of “The Rim” or in the anthemic closing track “Zeta Ring.”
Lens Shift EP released on March 8—International Women’s Day. It is available on all streaming platforms and can be purchased through Bandcamp.

About the Artist
MerlinBerlin has always wanted to be a music producer. After rediscovering a music creation program she used as a kid, she started making songs reminiscent of the techno and electro she heard growing up mixed in with modern music elements. She published those tracks in her first EP, Get Lost, and never looked back.
Now, with several more songs published (and upgraded programs and equipment), MerlinBerlin continues her journey with her music featuring on labels such as Black Techno Matters and taking time to work with other artists. She also hosts her own community event with Black Techno Matters called Sonic Sessions—a listening session where selected artists play their music and engage in full discussions with other producers following each track.
When she's not producing music, MerlinBerlin is a DJ who knows how to blend seemingly different genres into tasty treats for the dancefloor. Her passion for music and movement is infectious, and she firmly believes that embracing that leads to personal joy and freedom.
